Richard and John have long been fans of the sport of Cornhole. Richard was introduced back in 2009 at a family get-together. Later shared his new found fondness of Cornhole with John Fernandez who was largely disinterested (due in large part to his complete lack of skill). Shortly thereafter, out of pure boredom and hatred for being terrible at something (throwing bean bags), John built some boards and ordered some bags.
Rich and John would regularly play after work for hours on end all summer long wishing and hoping that there were more people around (locally) who shared their enthusiasm. In an effort to draw more fans of Cornhole either out of the wood work, or build a new local fan base the CSCA was founded in the summer of 2013 by the aforementioned duo.
