Beanbags sailed through the air Saturday at Roadrunner Cafe in Augusta, Ga., all in the fight against cancer.
The backyard game-turned-competitive sport of cornhole has undergone a rise in popularity in recent years, and Brian Cameron, founder of Cornhole Carolina, decided to use the popularity of the sport to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through a partnership with Advance Services, where he works part time.
“Advance Services has teamed up for the last several years to do a fundraiser within the company for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,” he said. “Within the company we’re split into teams, and our team decided to do a cornhole tournament, being that I’ve done many in the past, the majority of them being for charity.”
